Plot 2 on indefinite Hiatus
Plot #2: Scorch the Earth is on indefinite hiatus until my research into a plant that can survive the following atmospheric conditions:
- Carbon dioxide 95.32%
- Nitrogen 2.7%
- Argon 1.6%
- Oxygen 0.13%
- Carbon monoxide 0.07%
- Water vapor 0.03%
- Nitric oxide .0013%
- Other trace elements.
I may have stumbled onto something to use as a project for a masters degree in the future. But for now.... Hiatus continuing.

Plot One: Boil the Seas
Boiling the seas, what would the point of this be? To destabilize the ocean flow? A massive crab feed? Lowering the sea levels? All possibilities, but... all wrong. This could be considered the first step towards the human race stepping up, gaining control of and eventually mastering the world's environment.
On a scale of one to four: this plot is a One.
The criteria of a level one plot being that all the technology needed to successfully complete this project is developed and readily available.
Technology required:
So what is the point of all this? The point, quite frankly, is to build a system that can affect the environment by introducing water vapor into the jet stream to deliver it to parts of the world that need it the most. Like California for example, an area that has fallen victim of a combination of a natural drought and a man-made regulatory drought...and that's enough about politics.
This plot can be adapted for construction on islands, or mobile floating bases.

The first step for this plot is to select a suitable location. For the practice run we'll design it around specifically attacking the current drought in California. Pick a spot int the pacific ocean. An island, or atoll around the 35 to 37th parallel in line with Hawaii, or further east will work as well.

The second step is to build a solar collector on the island, however instead of power generation, or for industrial use this will be directly converting solar energy to thermal energy to boil water into steam to be vented into the atmosphere. Increasing water vapor content that will generally travel along the wind currents. With timing, math, and a healthy understanding of windspeed and direction this feasibly can lead to increased water vapor content delivered to more arid areas, like Australia and the middle east. Or not. That's the job of actual scientists to figure out the math and wind patterns. I'm just here to come up with the hair-brained schemes. Once a working test model is built and the glitches sorted out, the same, or similar designs could be deployed off the coasts of other arid regions to increase precipitation.
The solar panels will be mixed in with the mirrors in order to provide power generation in order to pipe sea water into the solar collector, otherwise diesel generators or other power generation will be required. This will sacrifice some reflectivity, but the benefit is to not have to require constant fuel shipments to the site.
This plot can be adapted for construction on islands, or mobile floating bases.
Good luck.

What is the Environmental super-villain about?
The environmental super-villain is about one things, and one thing only. Taking a complex problem, like say climate change, and then coming up with a fix that ventures into the same pastures as where most Bond villains graze for ideas.
They may be whacked out and insane answers to life's complex problems, but my goal is to make them feasible, at least if only through technology at the very least. Even if the implementation of such ideas may be considered unorthodox if not outright villainy if the plan were to be followed through on.
Plot #1 will be posted sometime on the 12th of February.
